The Humble Address of The Inhabitants of Mobile

May I please your Honor

        We his Majesty's most dutiful & loyal subjects the Inhabitants of Mobile do with the greatest sincerity congratulate your Honor, on your appointment, and safe arrival in West Florida.  Events that must give the utmost satisfaction to every man who has the welfare of his country at heart and we can not refrain from expressing our joy on considering the pleasing prosepect we now have of seeing this sometime neglected province use to that consepuence, which its natural advantages under easy to be accomplished.  But what affords us the highest satisfation is to behold, the power of our Gracious Sovereign delegated to your Honor, with whose unshaken ? we are already acquainted.  And we are fully convinced that Justice will be distributed in the most impartial manner.  That your decissions will be influenced by Equity, and that you will be always distinguished by a conscientious discharge of the Trust reposed in you.
