Virginius BERRY - Born 1846 Hancock County, Georgia. Entered service 1864 at Abbeville, Alabama in Captain Lawrence Company Infantry and continued until discharged at Troy, Alabama 1864. Joined Chisholm Company at Marianna, Florida.

Daniel F. BEASLEY - Born 1825 in Barbour County, Ala. Enlisted as 2nd Sgt. 1862 at Louisville, Ala. in the 45th Alabama Co. A. Captured at Franklin, Tennessee. Discharged June 1865.

Stephen BEDSOLE - Born 16 January ? in North Carolina. Enlisted 1862 at Eufaula, Alabama in Kolb's Battery. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia in April 1865.

Eli BLANKENSHIP - Born Warren County, Georgia. Enlisted 1862 at Mobile, Alabama in the 17th Alabama Co. A. Capyured at Nashville and confined at Camp Douglas Prison, Illinois until 28 January 1865 then paroled. Wounded in Atlanta 28 July 1864, furloughed for 60 days and returned in 90 days.

Elisha W. BLANKENSHIP - Born 18 September 1839 in Warren County, Georgia. Enlisted 13 March 1862 at Clopton, Ala. 33rd Alabama Co. D Continued until April 1865. Furloughed at Columbus, Georgia and never returned.

Thomas BLOUNT - Born 15 July 1836 in Hancock County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at Columbus, Georgia in the 3rd Georgia Cavalry Co I. Captured 6 April 1865 near Swift Creek, Virginia. Paroled 6 May 1865 at Richmond, Virginia.

Henry M. DAVIS - Born 4 October 1838 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in May 1861 in 6th Alabama Co. B. Was wounded in winter 1862, resigned and came home. Re-enlisted in the fall of 1863 at Marianna, Florida in the Chisholm Cavalry. Came home on furlough and was home at the close of the war.

John D. HAY -(Hays?) Born 5 August 1840 in Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 1 July 1861 at Cuthbert, Georgia in the 13 Georgia Co. E. Paroled at Appomattox Court House at surrender.

James J. HAYES - Born 1825 in Shorterville, Ala. Entered service in 1861 at Albany, Georgia in the 18th Georgia Co. O. Continued until discharged 1865 at Richmond, Virginia.

William M. HARDWICK - Born 4 February 1832 in Jasper County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 at Cedar Bluff, Ala. In the 7th Alabama Co. H. Participated in the Battle of Corinth. Mustered out the next day. Re-enlisted at Auburn, Ala. in the 48th Alabama Co. H. Captured at Sharpsburg, Maryland , confined in prison at Baltimore. Exchanged and went back to same company and regiment. Captured at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee confined at Johnson Island Prison, Ohio for four months. Paroled April 1865, was made Lieutenant of the 48th Alabama Co. H. three days after the Battle of Manassas and was a Colonel at the close of the war.

James H. HARDWICK - Born 8 April 1841 in Jasper County, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Eufaula, Ala. in Clark"s Artillery. Continued until the close of the war. Discharged at Meridian, Mississippi May 1865.

Judge I. HARRIS - Born 6 March 1846 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 10 March 1864 at Dalton, Georgia in the 45th Alabama Co. K. Continued until wounded in right arm and was sent home and never returned.

Thomas J. HAWKINS - Born 2 August 1829 in Pike County, Ala. Entered service 4 April 1862 at Eufaula, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. K. Continued until May 1865. Paroled at Laurel Springs, Mississippi.

Angus HARP - Born 23 September 1833 in Monroe County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at West Point, Georgia in the 8th Alabama Co. D. Wounded 22 July 1863. Captured after being wounded 2 July 1863 at Gettysbury, Pennsylvania.

John D. HENDLEY - Born September 1841 Henry County, Ala. Entered service May 1862 at County Line, Henry-Barbour in the 15th Alabama Co. K. Captured at Winchester, Virginia May 1863, transferred to Fort Monroe, exchanged and went back to the company. Captured at Gettysburg 3 July 1863. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland. Paroled and came home, re-enlisted before the war ended.

Joseph Z. HENDLEY - Born 1848 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1862 in the 6th Alabama was never mustered in. Came home in three weeks , re-enlisted 1864 in the Montgomery State Troops, Stayed with the State Militia until close of the war.

Thomas H. HICKMAN - Born 1843 at Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Franklin, Henry County, Ala. In the 25th Georgia Co. E. and continued until close of the war. Paroled in Henry County in 1867. Company organized by John Lawson Irwin.

William W. KELLY - Born 1842 in Habersham County, Georgia. Entered service in Butler County August 1862 in the 27th Georgia Co. F. Continued until July 1865. Paroled.

Berry KING - Born October 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service October 1862 at County Line (Henry-Barbour) in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Captured February 1865 at Silasbury, N.C. Discharged from prison at Winchester, Virginia June 1865.

William J. KIRKLAND - Born 1847 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service August 1861 at Abbeville. In the 62nd or 63rd Alabama Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Wounded at Spanish Fort near Mobile. Discharged at Columbus, Mississippi.

Seymour KIRKLAND - Born 23 March 1845 in Abbeville, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. Served in State Militia Home Guards. Captured October 1864 and released at once, came home and served in Home Guard until April 1865.

Allan A. KIRKLAND - Born 1842 in Abbeville. Entered service July 1861 at Abbeville, Ala. In the 15th Alabama Co. G. Continued until 9 April 1865 Paroled at Appomattox Court House. Never left the Regiment for anything, never furloughed.

Samuel J. KNOWLES - Born 26 March 1835 in Newton County, Georgia. Entered service as Lieutenant in 1863 at Abbeville in Hilliard's Legion, 60th Alabama Co. A. Discharged 1864 at Chatanooga, Tennessee. Captain in the Home Guard from 1864 to the close of the war.

John W. LANGFORD - Born 16 September 1847 in Georgia. Entered service as Home Guard January 1865 at Barnes Crossroads in Barnes Company and continued until close of the war.

John W. LEE - Born 1849 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in January 1861 at Barnes Crossroads and conyinued in Barnes Company until close of the war.(He was a M.D. a descendent of the distinguished Lee family of Virginia)

William J. LEE - Born 1838 in Chambers County, Ala. Entered service in January 1862 at Hawridge, Coffee County, Ala. in the 33rd Alabama , Captain of Co. K. Was wounded at Franklin, Tennessee, captured 30 November 1864. Confined at Camp Chase Prison, Ohio. Paroled from Camp Chase.

George W. LEWIS - Born 1842 in Tolbert County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 at Franklin, Henry County, Ala. in the 25th Geargia, Co. E. Continued until close of the war at Macon, Georgia May 1865.

Drew LISENBY - Born 1846 in Bibb County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville in Hilliard's Ligeon Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Cuthbert, Georgia.

Calvin C. PENUEL - Born 1846 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Macon, Georgia in the 39th Alabama, Stanford Company. Captured at Greensboro, N.C. Paroled or discharged the same day.

John W. PENUEL - Born 27 October 1841 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 15 May 1862 at Lawrenceville, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. G. Continued until May 1864.

Christian PENUEL - Born 27 October 1841 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 1863 at Lawrenceville, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. G. Continued until he came home on furlough in 1865.

Everatus ROLAND - Born 27 July 1827 in Warren County, Georgia. Entered service in 1863 at Columbus, Georgia. (Does not remember company) Discharged 1864 at Atlanta, Georgia.

John RONEY - Born 18 July 1836 in Thomas County, Georgia. Entered service April 1862 at Abbeville in the 25th Georgia Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia May 1865.

William J. SCARBROUGH - Born 3 April 1846 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service April 1863 at Tuskegee, Ala. in the 61st Alabama Co. A. Captured 1 April 1865. Confined at Point Lookout Prison, Maryland. Paroled 9 June 1865.

Washington M. SCOTT - Born 3 January 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1863 at Montgomery, Ala. in the 6th Alabama Cavalry Co. C. Continued until close of the war. Paroled fall of 1864 at Macon, Georgia.

Angus M. SCOTT - Born 23 March 1849 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Franklin, Henry County in the 25th Georgia Co. E. Wounded in the Battle of Atlanta, furloughed and never returned. Joined John Lawson Irvin's company, later Captain in Holmes Company.

Joseph B.C. SEARCY - Born 8 February 1846 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 26 August 1863 at Eufaula, Ala. in the 29th Alabama Co. G. Continued until close of the war. Surrendered at Appomattox Court House 9 April 1865.

Henry SMITH - Born 1833 in Barbour County, Ala. Entered service in January 1864 at County Line in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Continued until the Battle of New Hope Church, lost an arm, came home and never returned.

Jacob E. SMITH - Born 1827 in North Carolina. Entered service in 1861 in Virginia in the 21st Virginia, Co. A. Captured at Vicksburg 18 August 1863. Discharged next day and went back to Kemper's Artillery.

Ben. F. SMITH - Born 23 September 1826 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Headland in the 46th Alabama Co. I. Captured at Nashville 1864 confined at Camp Chase Prison, Ohio. Discharged from Camp Chase.

Benjamin F. SMITH - Born 1828 in Lowndes County, Ala. Entered service 1863 at Bungiville, Ala. in the William Petty Company and continued in the State Guards. Went to Florida, was furloughed by General Clanton and was home at the close of the war.

Needham SMITH - Born 1817 in Washington County, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Opelika, Ala. in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Captured at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Confined 16 months at Rock Island Prison, Illinois. Paroled March 1865.

Robert G. SAWELL - Born 1831 in the Kershaw District, S.C. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville in the 10th Alabama Cavalry Co. H. Continued until April 1865. Paroled (does not remember ) Surrendered at Greensboro, N.C.

Raiford M. SPANN - Born 29 March 1826 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1 March 1862 or 1863 at Abbeville. In ?? Alabama Co. B. continued until end of the war, Richmond, Virginia.

John H. SPIVEY - Born 25 July 1844 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1 July 1861 at Americus, Georgia in the 11th Georgia Artillery Co. C. Continued until 9 April 1865. Paroled at Appomattox Court House, Va.

Ruel W. STANLEY - Born 27 November 1846 in Maine. Entered service at Marianna, Florida in the POV Company Reserves. Continued until close of the war.

Henry Frison STOKES - Born 3 October 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 18 December 1863 at Abbeville in the 60th Alabama Co. E. continued until 12 April 1865 at Appomattox Court House, Va.

Christopher STONE - Born 1842 in Barbour County, Ala. Entered service July 1861 at Abbeville. Captured at Gettysburg. Confined at Fort Delaware Prison . Paroled June 1865 at Fort Delaware Prison.

David TAYLOR - Born 7 May 1835 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Montgomery, Ala. in the 60th Alabama Co. A or E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Appomattox Court House, Va.

Seaborn TAYLOR - Born 10 July 1842 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Montgomery, Ala. in the 60th Alabama Co. A or E. Continued until 13 January 1865 at Petersburg, Virginia. Came home on furlough one day before the Surrender.

Thomas A. FRANCK - Born 1844 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1861 at Abbeville in the 6th Alabama Co. A. Continued until January 1865, wounded at Winchester, Virginia. Furloughed and came home, never returned before the Surrender.

Aaron F. TURNER - Born 1844 in Muscogee County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. in the Home Guards, Laney's Company and continued until the close of the war. Never mustered out.


This is all I have on the 1907 CSA Veterans. I have no knowledge of how this information was gathered on these few Veterans. Many moved to Texas and other parts west, some had died by 1907. Maybe some were just not available to take part in this census.

Miles Holland Parker - Born March 22, 1835, White Pond, Barnwell District, South Carolina. Entered service as a Private on May 4, 1862 at Columbia, Alabama, in the Ala 46th Co I and continued until capture at Vicksburg, Miss. on 28 March 1865. Post Office address was Dothan, Alabama in 1907.

James G. Money - Born 12 September 1845 in Henry County Alabama. Entered service as a Private in the Ala 63rd Co E at Franklin, Alabama in 1863 and continued until captured in 1864 at Selma. Paroled two days later. Post office address was Headland, Alabama in 1907.
