ORIGINAL MILITARY SERVICE PENSIONERS OF THE STATE OF ALABAMA OR THE CONFEDERACY
The General Assembly of Alabama passed House Bill 755 as Act 109 in the 1882-1883 Session to provide for the relief of maimed, disabled men who served the state or the Confederate States and as a result rendered physically unable to earn a livelihood for themselves and their families. the act provided $17.96 per year for such Veterans and was approved February 23, 1883
