May Ann, daughter of John and Jane Kasey, born Dec 6, 1841 Some Kaseys are buried across the road in the Ayers graveyard: John W. Kasey, 1848-1917, Laura T Kasey, 1858-1948, Luna Kasey, 1879-1886. LEFTWICH - MITCHELL - FRANKLIN - SAUNDERS - MUSGROVE - CUNNINGHAM LEFTWICH In 1875, Valentine Leftwich bought 184 acres on Shallow Ford Road (656). This was part of the old Musgrove place, DB 48, P 76., and was located on Shallow Ford Road near Staunton River. Valentine died here, probably around 1882, as there was a law suit, Leftwich vs Leftwich. Cunningham bought the land. In 1847, Valentine Leftwich sold to George G. Saunders, 4 acres on Craddocks Creek adjacent to Nancy Leftwich, DB 33, P 113. Nancy could have been the wife of Uriah Leftwich, Jr. They had a son, Valentine, who married a cousin, Elizabeth Caffery, granddaughter of Merry and Frances Leftwich Carter. 1845, Valentine Leftwich to Peter Hudson, DB 32, P145. 1854, Daniel Saunders bought from Jeremiah Ferguson, 75 acres on Craddocks Creek adjacent to Valentine Leftwich, DB 37, P 174. GHAM The Cunninghams bought and sold land all through this area 1895, DB 73, P 3656, Milton F. Cunningham to J.T. Johnson 1882, DB 155, P132, Cunningham to Wm Saunders 1911, DB 165, P44, W.D. Franklin, guardian of E.H. and W.H. Franklin collected from the estate of L.P. Cunningham. Evidently the children were heirs of L.P. Cunningham. 1863, Ardena Cunningham sold to T.T. Saunders, 87 1/2 acres on Richardsons Creek and Anthonys Mill Creek, joining lands of John Hutson, Jacob H. Miller and William Miller, DB 42, P 309. Milton Cunningham operated a store when he was postmaster. 125
